Convert
Convert an image to PNG
PNG is a lossless file, so a photo may grow.
How it works
- 1
Upload the image.
- 2
Press Create.
- 3
Download the PNG.
A JPG has no transparency and the conversion does not invent any. Alpha in WEBP and GIF is kept.
If you need a small file, use WEBP or the compress tool. PNG is for archive copies and clear edges.
Questions
Why did the file grow?
JPG is already compressed. PNG stores pixels without that loss, so a photo can get larger.
Is this an 8-bit PNG?
No. Use the 8-bit tool for a 256-color palette.
